Easter 2010

"Bunny, Bunny, where are you Bunny"?
(Lily took it literally when we told her that the Easter Bunny was going to come Easter morning.)
After our kids finished eating their candy for breakfast, we headed to my mom's to watch General Conference.

Between sessions we took a walk to the park. We had a blast playing elimination tag on the baseball field....a blast!

I was so grateful this day to be a forever family.

Being at the "right place" at the "right time" is so important! I was overwhelmed with a feeling of peace and gratitude as we listened to conference as a family this Easter morning.

Cousin Time

It had been way too long...
We finally got together with the Robertson cousins (Yannick's sister's kids).
The bond that binds families together is amazing. Our kids loved each other as if they'd been together every day. Easter dinner over at the Robertson's was not enough....
so they came to Carlsbad two days later and had a sleep over.
The kids got along perfectly.
Alex and I stayed up until 2:15 A.M. talking in the van--yea....really! I loved our time together.
Let's keep our new goal: Dinner together at least once a month.
Love you Robertsons!!!

Flower Fields--Round 2

This was our second time going to the flower fields, located about a mile from our house. The day was gorgeous, the music had a yee-haw factor, the scent of the air was a blend of pollen and salt. Carlsbad is such an awesome place to live.

(sometimes I wish we lived on a farm....)

yeeeeee-haaaaaaw!

Sweet Ruby

Tractor ride

Have you ever heard of Ranunculus? Well, there are several hundreds of thousands growing at the flower fields. 98% of them will not be used, but their "bulbs" will be harvested and shipped all over the world.

More fun at Play Care...

Jaxson and Lily--Two peas in a pod!!!
Trouble
Best buddies
Too Cute

Who else is foreseeing wedding bells???

Bunny pancakes--who needs paint and a canvas???

Easter at Play Care...

I truly enjoy my two days a week of play care. The kids are really getting the hang of sitting still for longer than 30 seconds and can actually create some pretty amazing things!! I'm grateful that through play care I'm forced to be the mom I've always wanted to be--
relaxed
fun
creative
selfless
focused on the kids

Look at this scrumdelicious cookie.
Who would ever guess it's the creation of a two year old??? (O.K. I would). :)

Sorry to whoever received this batch of Easter cookies. :)

The kids enjoyed watching the white frosting magically turn colors with just a few drops of food coloring--(they enjoyed eating it by the spoonfuls even more)...

Licking the bowl....the best part!!!
