For Ruby's birthday we invited 12 of her closest friends to join us for a very glittery, wand making, fruit parfait eating, musical chair playing, freeze dancing, fairy party. It's been 2 weeks and my back yard is still covered in glitter. :)
Ruby and some of her friends enjoying the healthy birthday appetizers of carrots and cucumbers and petite fairy sandwiches.
My friend Fawn inspired this whimsical flag pendant that hung as a centerpiece for Ruby's party.

Our attempt at playing musical chairs....

Ruby's very own cupcake (I didn't do cupcakes for everyone to avoid the "mess"). It worked but am I awful for doing that???

Each girl got to make a bring home a fairy wand. They were all so different and sparkly and colorful. I think it was a huge hit!

These are the yogurt parfaits I made in place of cupcakes--healthy AND delicious, and might I add very pretty.

Dear Ruby...I can't believe you are five!!!
Joe and Monica came over the morning of her birthday with a plethera of gifts. Apparently Joe couldn't wait until the evening time as Monica and I had discussed. :) They bought her the dress that Ruby has on in the picture. They really do love her, and she absolutely adores them.
It's like Christmas (a mini version) when the kids wake up on the morning of their birthday. They wake up to balloons, gifts, and their favorite sugar cereal. Then we end the evening by watching their birth video. It was such a special day. I looooooooove you Ruby more than all the sparkles in the world!!!
